As gang violence grips the nation, the country of Haiti is finding itself enveloped by destruction and devastation. With the US closing their embassy and asking all Americans to vacate the country, the European Union and Germany quickly followed suit. The US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) issued a statement about fixing the problem along their shores and not having a flood of Haitian illegals showing up here.
“This airlift of personnel into and out of the embassy is consistent with our standard practice for embassy security augmentation worldwide, and no Haitians were on board the military aircraft. Our embassy remains focused on advancing US government efforts to support the Haitian people, including mobilizing support for the Haitian National Police, expediting the deployment of the United Nations-authorized Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission, and accelerating a peaceful transition of power via free and fair elections.”
USSOUTHCOM also said the Department of Defense is ready to show up with “robust enabling support for the MSS, including planning assistance, information sharing, airlift, communications, and medical support.”
Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry was essentially shut out of the country following his visit to Kenya. With nobody there to stop him, the capital city of Port-au-Prince has largely fallen under the control of Jimmy “Barbecue” Cherizier. In turn, Henry has allegedly proclaimed that he would step down, and suddenly the streets have been unusually quiet.
To experts on the country, this only means it is only the calm before the storm. Instead of peace coming to the country, they worry that the cannibalistic voodoo troops of Cherizier will instead take over. As the country is on the edge of being classified as a failed state after President Jovenel Moise was killed in 2021, many fear that Cherizier taking over will simply lead to genocide for those who are not on board with his ideals.
