Democrats’ hatred of the military is so great that they will throw American troops into harm’s way anywhere in the world at the drop of a hat—so long as the deployment serves no US national interest. In the latest example of this, Joe Biden has just deployed the US Marines to Haiti.
The government in Haiti has collapsed under the weight of its corrupt and incompetent politicians once again. Criminal gangs have taken over, and credible reports of cannibalism are emerging. Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry resigned on Tuesday.
In response to the violence and chaos that has nothing to do with America or protecting Americans, Joe Biden has decided it would be great to risk getting some Marines killed there. Biden deployed the elite Marine Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (FAST) to help secure the American embassy in Haiti. The situation is reminiscent of when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton got four Americans killed in Benghazi, Libya, during a massive terrorist uprising.
The Marines’ FAST unit will help secure the embassy while working to evacuate Americans, in yet another example of Joe Biden’s foreign policy failures. The Biden regime is telegraphing the fact that this will be another embarrassing embassy retreat like the ones in Afghanistan and Saigon.
Biden has to find something pointless and dangerous for the military to do since it’s now obvious that his unwinnable proxy war in Ukraine has been lost to Russia. The Biden State Department now needs to “pivot” away from Ukraine. Haiti will provide the perfect place to distract the American people and divert military resources in order to restore order in the failed state.
Haiti fits the bill perfectly. It’s corrupt and serves no national security interest to the US whatsoever. In other words, it’s just like Ukraine.
