New Biden Regulation Could Nix One Million Jobs

As you know, Biden and his administration are trying to “build back better.” However, as at least one manufacturing leader says, Biden’s only destroying industries in the US.

Enter Jay Timmons of the National Association of Manufacturers.

According to him, Biden has made plenty of promises and statements about being for manufacturing in the US and supporting US workers. However, the rules and regulations his administration is pushing through are actually doing the opposite.

“What he (Biden) won’t tell you is that his federal agencies are, at this very moment, working to undermine his manufacturing legacy – those agencies are undermining your success,” he said during his annual State of Manufacturing address.

He explained by pointing out Biden’s new National Ambient Air Quality Standards or PM2.5 regulation.

As its name implies, it imposes stricter air quality standards in manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. Now, this might be good for your lungs. But as Timmons explains, it would also ensure that nearly no new manufacturing plants get built in the US. And many manufacturing plants will either have to shell out millions to have their air/ventilation systems redone or simply shut down.

For some larger plants, this might not be an issue. But for many smaller ones, it could force them out of business, costing states millions of jobs and eventually affecting the overall economy.

“It affects the family trying to sell their home, the teacher hoping for new investments in schools, the students looking for job opportunities here in the state.”

Besides, it won’t be like the regulation will help air quality or air pollution in the long run. Sure, it might change things here at home. But that just means that companies will move overseas where such standards don’t exist.

So Biden is not really helping anyone or anything, as usual.
