Liberals have been doing everything they can to eliminate small family farms and shove large companies down our throats at every turn. This is done as part of a larger part of the Communist playbook to eliminate food sources they aren’t controlling; they have been undertaking steps to attack the dairy industry directly for years. When the majority of dairy farming shifted to California, the problems began.
Now authorities with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service claim to have discovered “Bird Flu” in cows from Kansas, Michigan, and Texas. Presumptive positive tests have also been reported in Idaho and New Mexico. According to a National Public Radio (NPR) report, “It’s the first time the disease has been found in dairy cattle, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association.” Additionally, a farm in Minnesota where poultry had been diagnosed with the disease also reported cases being found in their goats.
NPR’s report also said, “Government officials say the risk to the public amid the current outbreak remains low. Most past human infections have occurred after people had “unprotected exposures to sick or dead infected poultry,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And officials say the strain of the virus detected in Michigan is similar to the one found in Texas and Kansas, which was shown through initial testing not to include any changes that would make it more transmissible to humans.”
For now, USDA officials have claimed that dairy products are safe from the danger as any tainted products aren’t entering the supply chain. Additionally, pasteurization kills bacteria and is legally required for the milk to cross state lines. Those who would be in a large risk panel are the raw milk consumers. Often buying it directly from the farmers, they should be able to avoid it due to the frequent testing of these animals when illness shows up.
