It’s hard to figure out if President Joe Biden’s constant racist commentary is sheer ignorance, an attempt at cultural appropriations, or a deliberate attempt to force a sense of belonging within the Black community.
And it’s hard to choose which option is the best case for him.
Biden has once again delivered a speech, and although he was busy rambling incoherently and lying about his alleged “accomplishments,” he still managed to find time to offend members before dessert at an NAACP Detroit Freedom Fund dinner on May 19.
In his remarks, while observing that former President Donald Trump promised pardons for the January 6 hostages if he won in 2024, Biden asked, “What do you think he would have done on January 6 if Black Americans had stormed the Capitol?” adding, “No, I’m serious. What do you think? I can only imagine.”
The answer is obvious – Trump would pardon them as well. But that’s not quite what Biden was hoping for as he struggled to connect his bizarre question to Trump’s “racism.”
Biden’s comments were a continuation of a theme he introduced earlier while delivering the commencement address at the historically Black Morehouse College in Atlanta, when he noted that Black police officers and veterans were under attack during the January 6 riots.
Biden also went on to sow the seeds of racial divide before the students of Morehouse, claiming that “extremists close the doors of opportunity.”
He accidentally forgot to mention that Trump signed the FUTURE Act in 2019, which permanently restored $255 million in yearly funding for HBCUs after Congress failed to renew the financial support.
After the commencement address, it was time for Biden to take his one-man traveling show back on the road for the Detroit fundraiser, where he ramped up his attacks against Trump and conservatives and lost the tenuous grip he held on reality.
He emphasized his administration’s accomplishments in advancing racial equality, particularly the historic appointment of Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first Black female Supreme Court Justice. He then asked the crowd if Trump would appoint “anyone with a brain,” a perplexing question considering Brown could not identify what a woman is.
Biden and his Democrats feel that the Supreme Court is there to push agendas across the finish line. It is not. The SCOTUS interprets the Constitution and rules according to its interpretation. That’s why many of Biden’s progressive policies have been challenged, like his student loan forgiveness plans. Of course, as Biden has proven, these rulings are a “suggestion” and not to be taken as legal decisions.
Absent from his comments was any truth about the progress Trump made within the Black community during his term in office. During his presidency, Donald Trump implemented policies that had a significant impact on the Black community. African Americans experienced notable economic gains before the pandemic, with Black median income growing by 7.9% in 2019, surpassing growth rates under the Obama administration. Unemployment rates for Blacks reached historic lows, and many workers with less than a high school diploma and criminal records re-entered the workforce, primarily due to Trump’s pro-growth policies, including corporate tax cuts and deregulation.
His administration advocated for school choice, offering more Black Americans the chance to access quality education. Additionally, Trump signed the First Step Act, aimed at reducing mass incarceration and addressing disparities in the criminal justice system.
In the 2020 election, Trump gained more support among Black voters than in 2016. He delivered the lowest African-American unemployment, poverty, and crime rates in U.S. history.
The diners at the fundraiser enjoyed their meal in peace and safety while Detroit crime raged unchecked outside the building, sanctioned by the progressive wing of Biden’s party.
Detroit has a significantly higher crime rate compared to the national average. The city’s crime index is 66.09 out of 100, with 100 being the safest. The violent crime rate is 20.59 per 1,000 residents, while the property crime rate is 45.50 per 1,000 residents. This means that the chances of becoming a victim of a violent crime in Detroit are 1 in 49, and the chances of falling victim to a property crime are 1 in 22.
There’s a reason Biden has fallen from grace among Black voters. They no longer trust Biden, and no amount of pandering will bring them back. Biden can make racist comments through election day, but poll after poll reveals that Black voters no longer believe in him or his messaging.
