New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) has quickly become the pied piper of illegal immigrants as the city continues to draw them in like moths to a flame. Despite the Mayor’s persistence that the city can’t take more, they keep opening up for them. During a town board meeting, he cried about what the illegals are doing to the city.
The Mayor cried, “We’re at the breaking point, there is no more room, over 160‑something thousand; and as I stated, we’re getting anywhere from 2,500 to 4,000 a week … this is so devastating for our city.” Since the spring of 2022, they have taken in 160,000 illegals into the city. That’s not counting the ones who just showed up, or the unaccounted-for illegals.
While he warns illegals not to take the flights or the bus rides to go to the city, they have kept coming and stretched the resources of the city to their limits. Yet as he cried, there has not been a single peep about their sanctuary city self-designation. Meaning they refuse to provide Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials information about the legal status of those in the city.
By clutching on to this self-imposed title, they are making the decision for themselves that they won’t change to improve their situation. To them, the self-righteous liberal policies that are rotting them from the inside out are more important than taking care of their citizens and keeping their city safe. As prostitutes flood the streets, thieves roam from store to store unchecked, and murderers are allowed in due to poor communication with other nations, the city degrades just a little more each day.
If only there was something they could do to fix the problem.
