By now, it should be clear that GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie’s 2.3 percent in the polls isn’t going to be getting much higher. In fact, thanks to a recent speech in Florida, it’s about to bottom out completely and end his campaign.

Of course, that’s what happens when you literally yell at and insult the very voters you’re attempting to court…

It happened on Sunday during a speech at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee.

Naturally, with Christie’s lack of popularity, just the sight of him, as well as the start of his 15-minute speech, was enough to draw out a few boos and catcalls from the crowd. And at that, he pretty much lost it.

About 30 seconds into his speech, he started on a bit of a rampage:

“Now look, every one of those boos. Every one of those catcalls. Every one of those yells will not solve… solved one problem we face in this country. And will not make this country better.”

And that was only the beginning…

“Your anger… your anger against the truth is re-pre-hen-si-ble!”

Naturally, the crowd only responded with more boos and yells after being insulted.

So Christie continued on his tirade.

“This type of pettiness is beneath, beneath the process of electing a president. If your arguments are so strong, if your arguments are so great, and mine are so bad, then just keep quiet. Let me make my awful arguments and then you can just reject them out of hand. But the problem is, the problem is, the problem is, you fear the truth. The problem is you want to shut down any voice that says anything different than what you want to hear.”

Yeah, I don’t imagine that going over very well with any audience.

Of course, with that out of his system, Christie then calmed down some and continued what can only be described as the most unoriginal political speech of all time, complete with mentions of being pro-Israel, pro-secure borders, and that he would do better than Trump in response to how we interact with other nations.

So first, he insulted the crowd, and now, he’s attacking Trump, a man who has over 50 percent of the GOP already. Yeah, I’d say Christie just ended his own campaign…
